Inspired by the arid allure of deserts both hot and cold, 'Single / No Return' explores the desire for flight—from both the exterior world and from oneself—as well as the simultaneous lure and fear of self-exile. Despite (or perhaps because of) being lifelong city dwellers, Varrick and Ed have a great reverence for the remote, and both harbor a latent desire to vanish into it.
